- אוּבְשִׁין, אֻבְשִׁיןm. pl. (b. h. בְּאֻשִׁים; cmp. אַבְשוּנָא) a species of inferior grapes. Maasr. I, 2 הענבים והאו׳ משיבאישו Ar. (ed. Talm. B. והאב׳ משה׳; Talm. Y. הבאושין) grapes and ubshin are subject to tithes from the time they are called בְּאוּשָׁה q. v.Y.Ter.VIII, 45d top ענבים ואו׳וכ׳ grapes or ubshin for a sick person.
